Friday the Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be having a Fashion Day Camp.

Summer Youth Coordinator Lily Day says they are partnering with Union County’s Extension, and traveling to Creston to visit the Paisley Rose Boutique. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that while she was in 4-H, she competed in the fashion category, and noticed some things she thought were an issue.

“I realized that there was quite a few of the youth that really didn’t know what they were doing. And there was not as many youth that we (would have) wanted to be involved in it, and it slowly decreased in numbers. So we decided that we wanted to get a workshop put together that kind of shows them what it’s all about, and how to do it, and what to expect.”
