Wolfeboro man sentenced to prison for torturing, killing cats
MANCHESTER, N.H. — A Wolfeboro man is facing a sentence of up to 12 years in state prison for torturing and killing cats. Brendan Elwell has been sentenced to five to 12 years in state prison for torturing and killing about a dozen cats and kittens. He pleaded guilty to multiple counts of animal cruelty.
Missing New Hampshire man, 82, located in Dixmont
DIXMONT, Maine — An 82-year-old man who was reported missing from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, was located in Dixmont with the assistance of Maine State Police. Shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Maine State Police got a missing person notification from Wolfeboro police saying the man had not returned home after leaving for a fishing trip in Hampton, New Hampshire, around 4 p.m., Maine State Police said in a social media post.

ROCHESTER, N.H. — The northbound side of the Spaulding Turnpike is back open Friday morning in Rochester after a crash.
