This Affordable Maine Town Is Becoming A Surprisingly Appealing Place To Retire
A river rushing over granite falls, fresh bread at the farmers market, and home prices that make you look twice. Not a bad combination for retirement, right?. I was surprised by how much this little Maine town had going for it. The downtown felt lively without being overwhelming, and the river views alone made me want to stay a little longer.

Norway voters to decide whether to cap mobile home park rent increases
NORWAY — The path to an ordinance in Norway began back in January, when residents of Norway Commons demanded that the Select Board intervene to limit future rent increases. Residents of the 55-plus community had received letters from the development’s owner, Michigan-based Sun Communities, outlining an April 1 increase based on an average lot rent of $741. Residents argued the figure was inflated and exceeded the $450 to $632 being charged locally.

Here we go again! Vote No on Articles 2 and 3 in Rockport
Here we go again! Vote NO on Articles 2 and 3, Rockport’s second attempt to permanently restrict our property rights. Article 3’s rental unit ordinance is a rerun of the excessive eight page “STR” ordinance that Rockport voters overwhelmingly rejected in 2021. A few Select Board members engineered both proposed ordinances. They just can’t stop trying to impose the “nanny state” regulations that many of us moved to Maine to escape.
