High School Football: Abilene Big Country Top performers from Week 5

WEEK 5 TOP FOOTBALL PERFORMANCES

Dylan Slack, Abilene High

Slack completed 14-of-18 passes for 291 yards and four TDs as the Eagles opened District 2-5A Division I play with a 59-14 rout of Monterey in Lubbock. He also ran for a TD.

Jackson Howle, Abilene High

Howle had seven catches for 93 yards and a TD in the win over the Plainsmen.

Chip Chambers, Albany

Chambers completed 13-of-17 passes for 178 yards and three TDs in the Lions’ 31-13 win over Comanche.

Adam Hill, Albany

Hill ran for 138 yards and caught a 26-yard pass for a TD.

Camden Escalon, Breckenridge

Escalon completed 15-of-17 passes for 224 yards and three TDs as the Buckaroos beat Benbrook 36-28.

Ike Hall, Brownwood

Hall ran for 135 yards and four TDs on 24 carries to spark the Lions past Waco Connally 31-28 in Brownwood. He also completed 6-of-17 passes for 85 yards.

Kannon Orsagh, Cisco

Orsagh completed 11-of-13 passes for 120 yards and two TDs in the Loboes’ 36-7 win at Colorado City.

Dillon Silva, Cisco

Silva caught six passes for 83 yards and two TDs and ran for another TD.

Blake Carr, Clyde

Carr ran for 133 yards and two TDs on 19 carries, and he also threw two more TDs as the Bulldogs crushed Sweetwater 41-7 at the Mustang Bowl.

Jaidyn Vineyard, Coahoma

Vineyard ran for 168 yards and three TDs on 18 carries in the Bulldogs’ 34-27 loss to Merkel.

Brayden Torres, Coleman

Torres completed 12-of-15 passes for 211 yards and two TDs, and he also ran for two more in the Bluecats’ 46-33 win over Goldthwaite.

Jaylen Parker, Cooper

Parker caught nine passes for 112 yards and a TD in the Cougars’ 41-20 loss to Odessa Permian in Abilene.

Isaiah Hays, Eastland

Hays threw for 259 yards and a TD in the Mavericks’ 21-19 win over Jim Ned.

Preston Rose, Eastland

Rose caught four passes for 127 yards and a TD.

Keagan Ables, Hawley

Ables completed 16-of-21 passes for 350 yards and five TDs to lead the Bearcats past Anson 45-0.

Diontay Ramon, Hawley

Ramon had six catches for 212 yards and three TDs. He also had eight tackles — three for loss.

Aiden Ellis, Jim Ned

Ellis ran for 121 yards and a TD on 23 carries in the loss to Eastland.

Maddox O’Malley, Merkel

O’Malley threw two TD passes and ran for another to lead Merkel past Coahoma 34-27.

Easton Stewart

Stewart completed 22-of-26 passes for 226 yards and four TDs as the Tigers beat Big Spring 56-13.

Christian Duran, Stamford

Duran threw for 150 yards and two TDs, while running for another in the Bulldogs’ 63-0 victory over Winters.

Brighton DeVivo, Stephenville

DeVivo returned an interception 54 yards for a touchdown as Stephenville beat Wichita Falls Riders 21-20 in Wichita Falls.

Bear Meng, Wylie

Meng completed 16-of-25 passes for 192 yards and three TDs in the Bulldogs’ 37-27 win over San Angelo Central in Abilene. He also ran for 46 yards and a TD on 11 carries.

Derrick Evans, Wylie

Evans caught four passes for 101 yards and a TD.
