ABERDEEN, Md. (WBFF) —
The Aberdeen Police Department says one of their officers was seriously injured after being struck head-on while driving to work in the early morning hours on Sunday

According to police, just after 4 a.m., Acting Corporal (A/Cpl.) James Haddix was driving to work from his residence in Delaware when a suspected impaired driver struck him head-on on the Christiana Parkway.
Police say the accident was horrific, with both vehicles destroyed. A/Cpl. Haddix suffered severe life-threatening injuries from the collision and was transported to the Christiana Hospital for care, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
