(WHTM) — Other parts of the country continue to recover from Tropical Storm Debby, and some Midstaters are helping them do it.

About 45 people and two dogs from PA Task Force One were down in Durham, North Carolina to help those hit by the storm. Now, they are coming home.

Six of them are from Harrisburg’s Fire Department.

“So we get to work each other with each other down there, and then we get to deploy with each,” PA Task Force 1 and Harrisburg Fire Dept. member Josh Hull said. “Pennsylvania is one of the few states to actually get the call one of these types of teams home. So every time we get to go out the door and help other people in need, it’s very rewarding.”
