Body of missing woman found in ocean near Morro Bay
– Authorities have located the body of a woman from San Joaquin Valley who had been reported missing for approximately two weeks. Tiffany McClure, 47, was found in the ocean off the coast of Morro Bay by the U.S. Coast Guard around 7:15 p.m. Monday during a routine patrol, according to a news release from the Tulare Police Department.
Local florist announces change in ownership
– Bee’s Blossoms Florist, a local business known for its floral arrangements and customer service, has announced a change in ownership. Alyssa Reid, who has owned the shop for the past five years, is stepping down due to an extended illness. Michelle Cardenas, a long-time employee, will take over the Atascadero business.

Booker expands estate with new 27-acre vineyard in Willow Creek

Woods Humane Society doubles donations during August match challenge

Measure L-24 proposes sales tax extension for roads, services
Measure will be on the ballot for Nov. 5 General Election. – On June 25, the Atascadero City Council approved a resolution to place Measure L-24 on the ballot for the Nov. 5 General Election. The measure, titled Atascadero Local Roads and Vital Services Funding Extension Measure, seeks to extend Measure F-14, a sales tax adopted in 2014. The measure will ask voters to extend the existing half-cent per dollar (0.5%) general sales tax that is set to sunset in 2027.
