Weekly Safety Report: Assault, Homicide, and Child Assault Cases Hit Stevens Point
This week in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, there were three incidents that occurred. The second incident resulted in a 36-year-old man being sentenced to 15 years in prison for the death of his girlfriend's 6-month-old baby. The third incident involved a 63-year-old man being convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting a child.
On September 9th, an argument between two men at Polito's Pizza escalated when a man in a white shirt punched the victim three times. The victim suffered facial swelling and a chipped tooth as a result. The suspect is currently being sought by the police.
