Weekly Safety Report: Attempted Burglaries and Fatal Collision in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota

Three juveniles in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota have been charged with first-degree criminal damage to property for a string of attempted burglaries in late July. The Sleepy Eye Police were aware of the juveniles who kicked in doors of homes in the southwest area of Sleepy Eye between July 28 and 31. After executing search warrants and speaking with witnesses, the authorities filed charges against the juveniles. In another incident, two semi-trucks collided at the intersection of Highway 30 and County Road 5 in Adrian Township, resulting in the death of one driver and life-threatening injuries to the other.
Three juveniles have been charged with first-degree criminal damage to property for attempting to burglarize homes in the southwest area of Sleepy Eye between July 28 and 31. Sleepy Eye Police were aware of their activities and, after conducting search warrants and speaking with witnesses, filed charges against the juveniles.
Two semi-trucks collided at the intersection of Highway 30 and County Road 5 in Adrian Township, resulting in the death of 31-year-old Dylan Robert Maas from Sleepy Eye. The other driver, 32-year-old Cody James Crowley from Golden Valley, sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving treatment.
