Local sources have confirmed that the well-known retail and pharmacy chain Rite Aid will be closing another one of its Ohio store locations in Logan County later this month.
The affected store is located at 230 S. Main Street in Bellefontaine near the intersection of W. Auburn Avenue.
This location is scheduled to close on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, according to local sources.
Local reports have speculated that the closure of this location, and many others across the country, could be due, in part, to an impending bankruptcy filing by the company.
This location was popular among local residents and had achieved a 4.8-star rating on Google. This is what one local customer had to say about the shuttering location in a recent review:
I’ve been a customer here for over a decade, and I’ve only had one mishap with my scripts being sent electronically when they first started doing it. They fixed the problem right away and never had any other problems since then! Always a friendly, compassionate staff on board.
This location will surely be missed by local residents.
Customers who use this location for getting prescriptions filled should make arrangements to have them sent to a nearby pharmacy or ask a store employee where medications can be picked up once this location closes next week.
