Kroger grocery stores have always been one of the favorite places for shoppers to purchase quality meats and fresh veggies. However, recently Kroger has announced that they will be closing three more of their store's locations.

The Kroger Company has stated that its stores in Morrilton, England, and Dewitt have been behind not only in showing poor performance but also these stores, in particular, have been struggling for years on end, on sales at these three locations.

The store's locales that are closing are the following:

  • De Witt, Arkansas located off of 305 South Whitehead Drive.

Closing date: July 17, 2021

  • England, Arkansas located off of 301 Pine Bluff Highway.

Closing date: July 31, 2021

  • Morrison, Arkansas located off of 1626 East Harding Street.

Closing date: July 17, 2021

Kroger Company history:

The Kroger Company was founded by Bernard Kroger in Cincinnati, Ohio in the year of 1883. Its headquarters are still running from there. The Kroger company operates in the Midwestern and Southern states. There are twenty-eight Kroger stores located in Arkansas, and as of February 2021, the Kroger company had 3,242 stores within 38 states. Kroger ranks in second place for being the largest grocery chain; with Wal-Mart ranking at the top.

The Kroger Company also runs fuel stations and pharmacies in a lot of its store's locations and offers online Shipt delivery. Kroger also offers a large private collection of their own branded products, known as "Our Brands" and also offers their organic "Simple Truth" brand.

The Kroger Company has recently closed stores down in the states of California, Illinois, and Seattle.
