Weekly Safety Report: Drug Arrests and Fatal Motorcycle Wrecks Shake Monticello, Georgia

This week in Monticello, Georgia, several incidents occurred that require attention in the weekly safety report. These incidents include multiple drug-related arrests, two fatal motorcycle wrecks, and a case of driving without a valid license.
Tamra Lynn Clark, 34, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Jason Terry Thompson, 38, was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and battery. Miguel Velazquez Eqequiel, 39, was arrested for driving without a valid license. Mackenzie Shayne Figueroa, 23, was arrested for probation violation. Codie Alexander Jeffares, 30, was arrested, but the charges are not specified.
Two separate motorcycle wrecks resulted in the death of the drivers. Bryson Bashon Jackson, from Monticello, lost control of his motorcycle on Hwy 83 south near the Monroe County Line. He was returning from Macon when the accident occurred, and his motorcycle veered off the road and into a wooded area. Family members had reported him missing prior to the discovery of the wreck.
