I know how difficult it can be to find fun places to go when you're visiting a new city for a short period of time, or even if you have recently moved to a new city and you are not familiar with it.
Whenever I visit a new destination, I am always trying to cram as many hot spots in as possible before heading out, and I usually never complete my full list of places I hope to see and activities I hope to do.
Still, a great place to start is by searching online for some fun hot spots to head to when you visit (or move to) a new city. I'm going to discuss one particular spot in Raleigh, North Carolina, in this article, so if that interests you, make sure to read on.
This past week, I had the opportunity to head over to Tin Roof in Raleigh, which offers food, drinks, live music, and more. It's a great place for adults to head to on a weekend evening to enjoy music and more. So, let's go ahead and dive into some of the details now.
The Live Music
The live music experience is the main reason many people want to check out Tin Roof in the first place. In the evenings, there are often multiple different performers throughout the night, so you could come see one or both depending on what time you choose to go.
I really enjoy listening to live music, as I think it makes the atmosphere quite a bit more fun and exciting. There are constantly new performers coming in to Tin Roof to play, and just to list a few of the upcoming performers, there is:
- 6/5 at 6 PM - Garland Mason
- 6/5 at 10 PM - Cody Clark
- 6/6 at 3 PM - Post Brunch Beats
- 6/9 at 8 PM - You! (AKA Karaoke)
- 6/10 at 10 PM - Nashville Nights Featuring The Barons
To see a full list and schedule, you can check out the Tin Roof website. That way, you can plan when to go in order to coincide with the performers you would like to listen to.
The Food and Drink Options
Of course, many people probably want to know about the food and drink options availabe at Tin Roof. If you are looking for appetizers, main dishes, or even snacks, Tin Roof has you covered. Their menu features a wide variety of items including:
- Crinkle Fries
- Tater Tots
There are also a wide variety of drinks that those who are 21 and older can enjoy. You can see the full list including prices on the Tin Roof website.
Since Tin Roof does offer late night live music, they are open from 11 AM - 2 AM daily. So, if you get off work late, you will still likely have plenty of time to head over to Tin Roof and enjoy the music, food, and atmosphere.
While I would definitely consider myself more of an introvert, and I prefer to spend most of my free time relaxing with a movie, TV show, book, or a hike in nature, I actually had a lot of fun visiting Tin Roof with my sister.
The atmosphere was upbeat and exciting, as many people are there to enjoy the food, drinks, and live music. Tin Roof truly can be a fun spot to spend the evening. It allows you to break up your normal routine and explore a new local Raleigh spot.
So, if you are looking for live music, food, and drinks (and you are 21+), definitely consider checking out Tin Roof when you find yourself in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area.
