Since I do a lot of the same work day in and day out, all the days can start to blend together a bit. I am sure many of you can relate. If you work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, for example, you probably don't pay too much attention to which day of the week it is until Friday rolls around.

Similarly, you probably don't worry about the upcoming Monday until after you have enjoyed a fun and exciting weekend full of festivities. Or, maybe you prefer relaxing weekends on the couch watching your favorite television shows and movies.

The point is, unless you spice things up a bit, every day starts to feel the same. Since I tend to have super busy work days, I prefer to do fun activities on the weekend. If you are similar, then this post might be for you.

I'm going to discuss an upcoming even this Saturday which might interest you, especially if you enjoy yoga, mimosas, or both! Let's take a look at the details for the event.

Event Location, Time, and Cost

The first aspects of this event which we want to discuss are the event costs, location, and time at which it will be occuring.

First off, the event is located at the Dogwood Bar and Eatery in Raleigh, North Carolina. The exact address is 610 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Second, the event will be at 11 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Fortunately, if you can't make that date, this event will continue every single Saturday through the end of October. So, you have many more chances to try the yoga and mimosas out.

Finally, the class costs $13 and does include a mimosa with the purchase of the class. Essentially, that cost covers both the class and one mimosa.

About the Yoga

Now that we have covered the event logistics, including time, dates, and location, let's talk a little bit about the yoga itself. According to triangle on the cheap's website:

"Paula Fraschetti, the founder of Oak City Yoga, will be leading class. The class will begin with 5 to 10 minutes of breath work before heading into integral poses finishing with a power flow. The class will be held outdoors or in an open-air circulated tent. There are heaters and plenty of space to move around."

The outdoor aspect is one I find to be a huge advantage. I personally love exercising outside, and I think it can be fun to get outside of a standard fitness facility and just enjoy fresh air and nature. Plus, yoga is a pretty relaxing form of exercise to begin with, so the outdoors can make it an even more enjoyable experience.

Dogwood Bar and Eatery Food Options

I figured that I should also discuss some of the food options at Dogwood, since some people might enjoy grabbing a meal after they complete their yoga class.

So, just to give you an idea of what they serve food wise, they have a variety of pizzas from Vic's Pizza. This includes a few vegan options, which makes me incredibly happy, since I am a vegan and it can be difficult to find vegan friendly options at times.

Some of the pizza menu items listed on Dogwood's website include:

  • Vegan Flatbread
  • Vegan 20" Pie
  • Garlic Knots
  • Cannolis
  • 20" Cheese Pie
  • 20" Gluten Free Pie
  • 20" Breakfast Pie

This gives you a good idea of some of their offerings. They can also add additional toppings, and they sell pizza by the slice as well.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for something fun and unique to do on a Saturday that is also budget friendly, be sure to check out the yoga and mimosas event that occurs around lunch time.

If you would prefer something that's completely free, there are many parks, museums, and other events in North Carolina that you can check out as well. There truly is a lot to do and explore, so get outside when the weather is nice and try a number of different activities until you find the ones you like best.
