Mikaela Thiel, a talented young athlete from Brush High School, recently signed her scholarship papers to attend SUNY Maritime College, located just outside the Bronx. Thiel will study International Transportation and Trade while playing volleyball. She chose this major because it allows her to travel and pursue a career in business and finance. The signing ceremony took place at the Brush High School on Tuesday, where family, friends, and volleyball coaches gathered to celebrate her achievement.
Neighborhood becomes hazmat scene due to sludge in drinking water
The tanks that hold drinking water for nearly 140 residents in the Prairie View Ranch Water District are full of sludge that is so toxic that Colorado's Water Quality Control Division has now brought in hazmat crews to dig them up and clean them out.
