RUMFORD — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a New Hampshire man after a police K9 detected illegal drugs and a firearm in the vehicle, authorities said Thursday. During the stop on Waldo Street Wednesday evening, Rumford Police Department’s drug detection canine, Niko, alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car, which had expired New Hampshire registration plates.
