Suspect in kidnapping, pursuit faces more than a dozen charges
WALLA WALLA – The suspect in the April 22 kidnapping involving a 3-year-old child that began in Burbank and ended in a pursuit near Umatilla made his first court appearance in Walla Walla County Superior Court Monday. Stephan Lee Cleveland, 26, has more than a dozen new charges against him.

Walla Walla’s online payment system down for maintenance
WALLA WALLA – Starting today, the city of Walla Walla’s online payment system will be down for maintenance until May 9. The city’s finance department is converting to new utility billing software which will go online later this month. The utility billing software is used to calculate and bill approximately 12,000 accounts in the city of Walla Walla for ambulance, sanitation, sewer, stormwater, and water, utility services.
