Idaho State Bar reprimands Custer County prosecutor
Justin Oleson, the prosecuting attorney for Custer County, who also has a private law practice in Blackfoot, has been given a public reprimand by the Idaho State Bar. The reprimand follows a March 28 decision by the bar’s professional conduct board. That board conducted a two-day hearing in mid-February, which stemmed from a complaint the bar filed against Oleson last September alleging actions by Oleson that violated the bar’s rules of professional conduct. The bar sought to have Oleson disbarred from the practice of law in Idaho.

Garbage rates to increase in Challis
Garbage rates are going up in Challis. The City Council on March 12 approved an average 4 percent rate increase sought by Wendall Gohn, owner of Blue Mountain Refuse. Under terms of the franchise agreement between Blue Mountain Refuse and the city, rate increases require council approval.
