Student Receives DAR & Scholarship
Haley Ramos, a senior at La Feria High School, received the DAR Good Citizens Award and a scholarship from the Lt. Thomas Barlow Chapter, National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. Haley was recommended by her high school because she exemplifies the qualities of a good citizen: dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. She then took advantage of the opportunity to enter the optional Essay Scholarship contest and won that contest earning the scholarship. Haley plans to attend college and major in physics.
