WATCH: Dust storm blows across I-80 in central Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Dust storms were swirling in central Nebraska on Wednesday. High winds blew dry soil around, limiting visibility in some locations, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said. “Please slow down and prepare to stop if necessary in these areas,” the agency said on Facebook.
Hall County Jail Director’s son headed to trial court on drug charges
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man whose father is in charge of the local jail is headed to trial court on felony drug and weapons charges. Brandon Bahensky, 34, is charged with possession of meth, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and one count of possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony. On Monday, he waived a probable cause hearing and his case was transferred to Hall County District Court for possible trial. His arraignment date in district court is June 25. At arraignment, a suspect typically pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges faced.
