Fire destroys business in Clinton County
LAMAR, Pa. — Flames tore through a meat and dairy shop in Clinton County. It happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in Lamar Township. That's near Mill Hall. Newswatcher Skinny Wert sent in these photos of the flames wrecking the business on East Mountain Road. A dozen fire companies were called in to fight the blaze.
Memorial Day Tribute
More than a year after Lt. Henry Staib was reported missing (February 22, 1944), he was declared dead by the War Department on October 15, 1944. Staib graduated as a navigator in Salem, Louisiana and was serving as one on a B-24 Liberator throughout his time in the U.S. Army Air Force.
