Storms moving out of the Mid-Ohio Valley this morning
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - After an active Sunday of weather across the Mid-Ohio Valley, we will be returning to quieter weather for Memorial Day. Showers and thunderstorms will be around in the morning, but coming to an end by around 6 a.m. Afterwards, the rest of the morning will see cloudy skies. Some breaks in the clouds will start to appear later in the morning and into the early afternoon. The afternoon will be on the dryer side, but a stray shower or storm will still be possible as a cold front pushes through. Even though our rain chances will be low, it is something to watch out for, especially since this will still carry a small risk for strong thunderstorms. Besides the small storm chance, the cold front will bring in some breezy weather this afternoon. Winds will pick up to around 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph will also be possible.
