TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Wow, what a day! Although it was breezy out east, it’s tough to beat these temps, as they only rose to the mid-70s in Tucson. I’m not sure I’ll be able to say that for a loooong time, so enjoy it while you can! Warming up tomorrow, but still comfortable in the low 80s, with winds calming down. Therefore, it’ll be a great last day for the Pima County Fair. The heat will get cranked up another notch by the work-week with temps settling in the upper 80s and low 90s.
Vulnerable woman found safe on Tucson’s northwest side
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Authorities said a missing vulnerable woman was found safe on Tucson’s northwest side. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Rachel Strom was last seen walking near La Cholla and West Orange Grove around 2:15 p.m. Thursday. She was found safe and returned home before 5 p.m.
No charges in Humane Society animal transfer investigation
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) — There will be no criminal charges in the disappearance of hundreds of small animals in Arizona. The controversial situation began in August 2023 when the Humane Society of San Diego sent more than 300 small animals -- rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits -- to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
