Grand Ledge Man Faces Citations for Reckless Driving at 125mph in Michigan
A Michigan man's need for speed landed him a stack of citations after he was caught ripping down a local road in his 2003 Ford Mustang at a nerve-shredding 125 mph, police said. The 24-year-old from Grand Ledge was spotted on Thursday by a trooper from the Michigan State Police's Lansing Post, performing what was described as reckless vehicular acrobatics in a parking lot before hitting the gas on Michigan Road, according to a report by FOX 2 Detroit.
Hail and a Tornado Warning Tuesday Evening
Most of West Michigan had showers and thunderstorms roll through Tuesday evening. There were over a dozen reports of hail up to 1″ in diameter. Cannonsburg and Saranac had the 1″ hail, which is severe criteria. The 1″ hail at Cannonsburg and Saranac was the largest hail that fell anywhere in the U.S. on Tuesday. LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The deadline to apply for federal assistance from FEMA is quickly approaching. Those affected by the severe storms that occurred last August 2023 have until May 8 to apply for federal assistance. Homeowners or renters in a handful of counties, including Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, and Livingston counties here in Mid-Michigan, are eligible to apply.
