FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Fond du Lac firefighters rescued three dogs from a house fire on E. Division Street on Saturday, April 27. Officials say firefighters were dispatched to the house fire just before 11 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions showing from a basement window of the two-story single family residence.

Oshkosh school teacher accused of using racial slur placed on leave
OSHKOSH ― A teacher at Vel Phillips Middle School has been placed on leave after being accused of using a racial slur Tuesday. In a letter obtained by the Northwestern and verified by Oshkosh Area School District Communication Director Katie Nieman, Vel Phillips Middle School Principal Kristi Levy notified parents of children in the affected classroom of the allegations.
