Suspect injures 2 Oro Valley Police Department officers
Two Oro Valley Police Department officers were treated for injuries April 26 after a suspected burglar assaulted them near a north Oro Valley residence. Gary E. Allison, 54, faces two felony charges of aggravated assault and a charge of second-degree burglary in connection with the incident, which occurred just after 10 p.m. April 26 in a neighborhood east of Sun City, according to OVPD public information officer Darren Wright.

Oro Valley ‘Battle of Bands’ entries due May 3
Oro Valley Battle of the Bands is returning May 17, and high school musicians may enter songs through this Friday, May 3. From the proposals, five bands are being chosen to take the stage at Riverfront Park on Friday, May 17. The winning band will receive a free recording session with Luna Recording Studio.
