A man was charged with simple assault, robbery, harassment and theft after a June 4 incident in Lancaster County that police say was domestic violence-related. Police in West Earl Township received a 911 call around 7 p.m. that day from a woman who said she was assaulted in her vehicle by Michael Ermold, 57, and that he took her purse. A Lancaster housing initiative is looking for landlords to help those facing barriers
Nationwide, there is an affordable housing crisis. However, the need for housing is exacerbated for those with a criminal history or poor credit score. To combat that need, Hawkstone Real Estate and Property Management in Lancaster has started up a new initiative to bring together a coalition of community-minded landlords willing to look past criminal history, poor credit, and even some prior evictions. Convict, Michael Ermold Jr., Accused Of Highway Robbery
Michael Eugene Ermold Jr., 57 of Lancaster (who is reportedly experiencing homelessness), is accused of attacking a woman near mile marked 36.8 shortly before 7 p.m. on June 4, the police detailed in a release. The woman reported that he assaulted her inside of her vehicle "took the [her] cash before throwing the purse back into the vehicle [... then] fleeing on foot," according to the release.
