Three people, including child, dead in apparent murder-suicide in Lowell
Three people were found dead inside an apartment in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Saturday in what appears to be a murder-suicide, officials say. According to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, a ma n living at a Warren Street apartment called 911 around 6:39 a.m. Saturday and told dispatchers that he had shot his wife and child. He also said he was in possession of guns.

Merrimack police said the car landed on its side next to a house on Turkey Hill Road shortly before 8:30 P.M. on Thursday, after leaving the road and rolling over multiple times. Crash in Merrimack one of several serious crashes in southern NH this week
MERRIMACK, N.H. — Merrimack police are investigating a serious crash on Turkey Hill Road. According to the fire department, the crash happened at about 8:20 p.m. on Thursday. When first responders arrived, they found a vehicle on its side right next to a fence and house. The house was not damaged.

The Nashua Telegraph of the previous day predicted fair and cooler weather for Sunday. A fire started on one of the lower wooden timbers of a railroad bridge over the Nashua River near Temple Street. It is unknown what started the fire. It might have been sparks from a passing train. It might have come from a group of young men who were known to congregate in the area to while away the time with games of chance and cigarette smoking.
