A planning meeting on parks and green spaces in Carbondale is set for April 30
The Carbondale Park District and the City of Carbondale are continuing work on a master plan for the improvement and growth of the parks and green spaces in town. Tuesday, April 30 there will be a Public Planning Meeting, which will be an opportunity for residents to gather and form sub-groups to discuss what they feel is needed to move forward with these projects. Banterra Bank donates former branch building to become Cave-In-Rock City Hall
MARION, Ill. — Banterra Bank has closed its Cave-In-Rock branch and donated the building to the Village of Cave-In-Rock to be used as the new city hall. A news release from Banterra Bank said the property, located at 249 North Canal Street, includes the brick building, built in 1960; and four land parcels totaling 30,855 square feet. The bank will include some furnishings with the donation, including its staple grandfather clock.
