Augusta County road rage case certified to grand jury
AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The case of the Stuarts Draft man charged with several felonies following a road rage incident last year is moving on in the courts. Online records show that eight counts against Ma’Aquil Ni’mill Littlejohn were certified to the grand jury during a hearing yesterday Augusta County General District Court.

100 mile yard sale set for May 2-5
It’s most everybody’s favorite time of year---time for the spring version of the 100 mile yard sale along U.S. 29, generally running from Amherst to Danville. Yard sales do not encompass the entire route as some stretches of 29 are wooded with no residential areas. All the towns usually participate in some way. Lady Colonels fall in extra innings thriller against Nelson
Winners of three of their last four games, Altavista hit the road once again as they faced off with Nelson County in a Dogwood District softball clash. This past Friday (April 19) in Lovingston it took extra innings to settle this contest as Nelson ultimately rallied to defeat Altavista 9-8 in a walk-off thriller. The Lady Colonels (3-7) stormed back after an early 6-1 deficit to tie the game in their last at-bat in the seventh inning thanks to Riley Stinnette, who came up with a clutch two-run double to send the game into extra innings. Nelson countered with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win it on an RBI single from Maddie Casey (2-5, 2 RBI’s) to give the Governors (1-10) their first victory of the season.
