Lexington Habitat for Humanity makes housing dreams come true
The Lexington Area Habitat for Humanity just made the dream of homeownership a reality for two local, hardworking, deserving families. Habitat for Humanity recently completed and sold two affordable Habitat houses in the Lexington Area. These houses were built in partnership with qualified Habitat applicants, sponsorships from businesses and individuals, the Habitat ReStore, Gifts in Kind and volunteer labor. Grubb properties, celebrating their 60th Anniversary, sponsored one of the homes recently built. Together, with their vendors, and volunteers they completed the home in March.
Lexington church launches film series to improve race relations
The Race Unification Committee (RUC) of First Presbyterian Church is offering a free film series to generate positive and open discussions about how we relate to race.
