One Dead in Motorcycle Wreck
One person was killed in a motorcycle wreck Wednesday. The crash occurred on Austell Road near its intersection with Park Brooke Circle shortly before 3 p.m., according to Cobb Police. Police say the unidentified motorcycle driver was traveling northbound on Austell Road when a Ford C-Max exited the parking lot of the Austell Market Fair Shopping Center, attempting to turn southbound on Austell Road. The Ford entered the motorcycle's path, causing the collision. The motorcyclist was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where they were pronounced dead. The unidentified driver of the Ford sustained a complaint of injury and self-transported for treatment. The investigation into this collision is ongoing. Anyone with information about the wreck is asked to call the Cobb Police at 770-499-3987.

Lee County man injured after accidental shooting, sheriff’s office says
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Lee County Sheriff’s Office now confirms that a Sunday night shooting was accidental. A sheriff’s department spokesperson told WALB News 10′s Ashanti Isaac that deputies came to a home on the 100 block of Alder Drive for a registered welfare check shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound with non-life-threatening injuries.
