Cedar Springs man arrested on theft charges in Kent County
50-year-old Dannon Semposki is in custody at the Kent County Correctional Facility, charged with felony larceny. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office recovered approximately $10,000 in stolen property from a Solon Township residence last week. Authorities say Semposki is responsible for multiple thefts totaling upwards of $30,000 in the Cedar Springs area since March of this year. Detectives also recovered several stolen items belonging to residents in Kent County, northern Michigan, and the Upper Peninsula. Those items include construction tools and a refrigerator.
240 jobs to be cut as part of Grand Rapids area call center closure
GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Charter Communications plans to close a call center at 335 Walker Ave. NW in Walker in late June, a move that will eliminate 240 jobs. The company made the announcement to the state of Michigan in a WARN Notice, which mandates advance notice of mass layoffs.
