LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A moped rider was killed in the east Las Vegas Valley on Monday night after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a median. According to a police report, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Nellis Blvd. and Sandra Rd. at approximately 6:48 p.m. Police said the rider fell into the median after losing control and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An outage was reported near Sunset Road and Arroyo Grande Parkway around 12:35 p.m. due to a downed power line. NV Energy confirmed to FOX5 that crews are responding to the scene.
