FITZGERALD, Ga. (WALB) - A person has died and four others were injured following a shooting in Fitzgerald on Sunday just after midnight. According to Chief William Smallwood, Fitzgerald police officers were called out to the 300 block of E. Pine Street at around 12:25 a.m. in reference to a shooting incident at an after-prom party.

Man shot in the foot during Cordele shooting
CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - Police are still investigating a shooting after a man suffered a gunshot to his foot after a shooting early Sunday morning. Police were first called to a shooting in the 200 block of West 24th Street to reports of shots fired around 1:15 a.m. on April 21. When law enforcement got to the scene, they found a vehicle had been shot but no one was injured. Residents reported that people fled from the scene of the shooting.
Crisp County deputy suspended after DUI arrest
CORDELE, Ga. -- A Crisp County sheriff's deputy was arrested for drunk driving after a wreck sent two to the hospital. According to a release, just before midnight Sunday the Georgia State Patrol was called to investigate a two car accident on East 24th Avenue near 4th Street in Cordele.
