Scattered rain and thunderstorms expected across the Mid-South into the weekday
We have had some rain move through late this past week. More chances for rain and thunderstorms are on the way over the next few days. We will be keeping temperatures warm, and the severe risk remains lower for this week. A bit of a break from heavy thunderstorm chances. There remain a few chances for some stronger storms, although again severe weather threats are very low at this time. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible between Monday afternoon and Thursday. Rain chances are medium all days, not everyone will see rain or storms every day, some may not see rain at all. None of these rain chances look to be widespread heavy rain.

Nearly two years after a tragic incident that left a four-year-old boy dead, a father and grandfather face charges for his death. On June 22, 2022, Jerry Anderson III, also known as Tre, found a gun at his paternal grandparents' home in Germantown and fatally shot himself. Indictments have now been issued against Jerry Anderson Jr. and Jerry Anderson Sr., as reported by WREG. Both men are charged with aggravated child abuse, criminally negligent homicide, and theft of a firearm.
