Harry “Scott” Shrauner, 75, of Elkhart, Kansas, passed away on Friday evening, April 5, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Carthage, Texas. Scott was born on December 14, 1948, in Elkhart, Kansas, to the late Floyd and Roberta Shrauner. He was raised in Elkhart and graduated with the class of 1966. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics. Scott returned home following college to work with his dad on the family farm.
Rolla Man Injured on the Kansas Turnpike
An injury accident occurred Sunday morning at approximately 12:35 am, on the exit ramp from I235 Southbound at mile marker 14 to Westbound K96 in Sedgwick County. A 2010 Buick SUV being driven by Owen Dean Shores, 21, of Rolla was going the wrong way from the meridian onto the ramp towards I 235 when he struck a 2023 Chrysler PC, being driven by Kathleen Stutzman, 31, of Halstead, head on.
