The weekend will be warm, but much less humid.
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Having gotten our fair share of rain, we’ll get a few days now to bookend our week with some sunshine. Now behind the cold front, we’ll see Northerly winds throughout the day on Friday, ushering in less humid air that will help drop dewpoints from the 70s to the lower 60s. Highs will remain in the 90s, but lessened humidity means highs don’t FEEL as high.

A break from the rain is on the way!
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Every day this week, our area has had to brace for strong-severe storms... most of which were affiliated with storm complexes that traveled hundreds of miles to get to our area. Damaging wind has been the main hazard, and sadly those winds left numerous trees down across our WTOK area this week. Thankfully, today’s severe risk has ended, but lingering showers are expected through later tonight. So, watch for ponding water on the roads, and if you encounter a flooded roadway... take a different route.
