Man accused of making bomb threat on Western New York hospital arraigned
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Genesee County man has been arraigned on felony charges for threats he allegedly made against a local hospital. The man, 31-year-old Lordseth Phoenix of Corfu, is accused of calling 911 and claiming a bomb would be placed in the parking garage of the Buffalo General Medical Center.

A revised remedial plan was issued for work completed at the Batavia Iron Metal facility in Batavia due to the amount of PCBs and other contaminants, and wetlands discovered at the Bank Street site, Project Manager Lisa Gorton says.The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued the revision Wednesday now that all work has been completed for the project at the defunct metals processing plant next to Dwyer Stadium.

West Herr buys Clarence motel for $1.8M, plans demolition
CLARENCE CENTER, N.Y. — West Herr Auto Group has acquired the Budget Inn motel in Clarence, with plans to knock it down to create a car storage lot. West Herr, through its affiliate WHAG Properties VII LLC, purchased 8255 Main St., Clarence for $1.8 million. The seller was Shriji Swami LLC, of Williamsville.
