Over 300 Wisconsinites to be laid off after manufacturer opts to close facility
HAWKINS, Wis. (WFRV) – Over 300 Wisconsinites will be without a job after corporate officials at a manufacturing company made the decision to shut down permanently. According to a letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Jeld-Wen, a company that specializes in windows and doors, will be closing its only Wisconsin facility in the village of Hawkins, Rusk County.
