Wyoming Adds Jonathan Reeder to Coaching Staff
Jonathan Reeder spent the last 4 seasons as an assistant at Lindenwood, which is dropping their swimming & diving program after transitioning to D1. University of Wyoming swimming and diving head coach Dave Denniston made an addition to his coaching staff Friday. He hired Jonathan Reeder as a new assistant coach.
PREP TRACK: Berryhill takes 1st in 400 at Wyoming Classic
Laramie High’s outdoor track and field teams had one event winner at the Wyoming Track Classic on Friday in Casper. The invite-only event featured the top-eight fastest sprinters and middle distance runners, top 12 for the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and top-nine for field events.
PREP SOFTBALL: Plainsmen down visiting Bison
The Laramie High softball took advantage of Cheyenne South’s defensive woes to score seven unearned runs Thursday afternoon at the Sandy Aragon Softball Complex. The Plainsmen beat South 10-0 in five innings adding their third win in conference games. All four of the Bison’s defensive errors either directly resulted in a run scored, or had a baserunner who reached later crossing home plate.

LARAMIE — For the first time in more than a decade, the University of Wyoming conducted spring football without the direction of Craig Bohl. The Cowboys seemingly picked up right where they left off after last year’s 9-4 campaign following the promotion of Jay Sawvel as head coach. The former defensive coordinator was plenty happy with UW’s spring portion of the season overall, but he also knows there’s still work to do between now and the Cowboys’ Aug. 31 season-opener at Arizona State.
