Closure of North Broadway Street railroad crossing for repairs
ALBANY, Ga. – On Thursday, May 2nd, Georgia & Florida Railway will close the North Broadway Street railroad crossing at 7 a.m. for repairs. During this time, traffic will be redirected around the work zone using Bonnyview Avenue, Church Street, and East Broad Avenue. Lee County man injured after accidental shooting, sheriff’s office says
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Lee County Sheriff’s Office now confirms that a Sunday night shooting was accidental. A sheriff’s department spokesperson told WALB News 10′s Ashanti Isaac that deputies came to a home on the 100 block of Alder Drive for a registered welfare check shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound with non-life-threatening injuries.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Through Monday: Surface High pressure will dominate the forecast and keep southeasterly winds across South Georgia. This will not do much for us tonight as skies begin to clear and lows fall into the upper 50s and low 60s, but this will keep moisture around on Monday. This introduces a chance for a spotty shower or two mainly in our western counties. Most will remain dry and fairly sunny throughout Monday as highs climb into the middle 80s.

Humidity is expected to build Friday, Saturday brings back the scattered showers and storms by afternoon. Slight chance of showers and storms lingers Sunday. Rain chances disappear early next week. That will allow the heat to build past 90 degrees. Add humidity and it will feel a lot like summer.
