Defense rests on day 6 in Marlow murder trial
DUNCAN, Okla. (KSWO) - April 30 was day six of the ongoing trial of Karen Pritchard, who’s accused of murdering 31-year old Ashley Anderson. Anderson who was said to be an employee for Pritchard. The defense rested its case on day six, and a verdict could come as soon as May 1.
Structures destroyed by fire
Both Purcell and Washington Fire Departments responded to a structure fire that destroyed a large travel trailer and a nearby shed late in the afternoon of April 24. While Purcell units were en route to the fire two miles north of Union Hill Baptist Church, Washington’s Department was requested to meet them at the scene.

Mercury and ATV collide killing one
A Friday night collision claimed the life of Max R. Galloway, 63, of Marlow following a collision near 2699 E. Osage Road approximately 1½ miles east of Duncan. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Galloway was driving a Polaris ATV and collided with a 1997 Mercury Cougar driven by Pamala R. Walls, 58 of Marlow.
