Blue Earth – Geneva Lenora (Haase) Prescher, “Tootie,” age 98, of Blue Earth, passed away on April 20, 2024 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. David Schultz officiating. Visitation was held on Thursday at Patton Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to the service at church. Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth.

BEA boys shut out Worthington 7-0 in tennis
The Blue Earth Area boys tennis team booked another 7-0 victory over the Worthington Trojans on Tuesday, April 23. Joe Frundt represented the Bucs against Ian Barber at No. 1 singles. The pair fought a contentious match, with Frundt taking the first set, 6-2, and Barber turning the tables to win the second set, 6-2. A lengthy third set eventually went to Frundt, 10-6.
Charges filed against 6 arrested in Mankato drug bust
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Felony charges have been filed in Blue Earth County after a seizure of thousands of counterfeit pills containing fentanyl in Mankato over the weekend. According to a criminal complaint, the task force received a tip the pills were brought in from Michigan. Authorities say the pills were then sold out of an apartment rented by Wynter Harrison, one of the suspects.
