ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A suspect from Valley Park is facing two charges after a stabbing on Tuesday morning. Patrick Leutzinger reportedly stated it was a good day to slice someone before stabbing a man in the first block of Cheryl Lane in Valley Park. Other people inside the home at the time of the stabbing ran off and hid after the incident. A knife was found in the building by officers, charging documents state.
Minor Flooding In Jefferson County, Flood Warning In Effect Until Sunday

St. Louis school district will pay families to drive kids to school amid bus driver shortage

LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis’ school district is offering to pay some families to drive their kids to school as part of an effort to offset a shortage of bus drivers. “We are excited to announce a new set of programs aimed at addressing the current challenges in transportation services,” Toyin Akinola, St. Louis Public Schools’ director of transportation, wrote in a Monday letter to parents, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Wednesday, a court-appointed psychologist took the stand in the trial of Thomas Kinworthy. Kinworthy is facing 10 charges, including first-degree murder, after being arrested for the August 2020 shooting death of Officer Tamarris Bohannon, 29. Police said Bohannon and another SLMPD officer were responding to a shooting call in south St. Louis City when Kinworthy started shooting. Bohannon died from his injuries, leaving behind his wife and three children.

Police give update in search for missing 33-year-old woman
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – Officials have released new information on a woman who was reported missing less than two weeks ago. Emily Strite, 33, was reported missing April 20. Detectives originally stated that she was last seen April 2 in Imperial, MO, but have now learned that she was last seen on foot the morning of April 12 in De Soto, MO, according to a release. It is also now believed that she left the area at her own will.

Motorcyclist killed after crashing into back of pickup truck in south St. Louis County identified
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Missouri — A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into the back of a pickup truck Tuesday afternoon in Mehlville. A spokeswoman with the St. Louis County Police Department said that the department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating the fatal crash, which occurred just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Union Road and Park Hill Court.
