YPSILANTI, MI -- An auto salvage business was destroyed by a fire in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 2.
Fire crews were called to B&G Auto Salvage, located at 1711 Cadillac Ave in Ypsilanti Township, shortly before 2 a.m. for the blaze, officials said.
The salvaged yard was fully engulfed in flames, according to Ypsilanti Township fire Captain Dave Crescio.
No injuries were reported, but Crescio said the building is considered a total loss.
Damage costs have not been calculated because there may have been equipment and vehicles inside the larger pole barn building, officials said.
A cause is still under investigation.
Images of the incident were shared on the City of Ypsilanti Professional Firefighters Local 401 Facebook page.
Crews from Ypsilanti Fire Department and Superior Township Fire Department were called to help the Ypsilanti Township Fire Department.
Anyone with information on the fire is urged to call the Ypsilanti Township Fire Department at 734-544-4225.
