Teenager found dead after Lake Wylie search
The 16-year-old jumped from a catwalk under the bridge into the water and never resurfaced

YORK COUNTY, S.C. (WBTV) – York County officials confirmed that a 16-year-old has been recovered from Lake Wylie
According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Yanni Harvell jumped from a catwalk under the bridge into the water and never resurfaced.
The York County Sheriff’s office issued a statement saying “Our condolences go out to the family of the victim. SCDNR, Bethel Fire, Newport Fire Department, Carolina Dive and Rescue, and CMPD assisted with the search operation. The York County Coroner’s Office is assisting with the investigation.”
