A barn full of hay burned down Friday night in Clark County, and a horse was injured in the blaze, fire officials say.

Clark County Fire District 10 was called out at about 7:45 p.m. on reports of a large column of smoke near Gabriel and Kelly roads.

They arrived to find a hay barn engulfed in flames at Royal Ridges Retreat. Crews helped with a horse that was injured by the fire.

Clark County Fire District 13, Clark-Cowlitz Fire and Rescue, and Fire District 3 were also called to help.

The barn is considered a total loss. Clark County Public Works helped move metal roofing that had collapsed on hay bales so firefighters could douse the flames.
