Driver, 10 Dogs Escape Vehicle Fire

Ventura, Ventura County, CA: A driver and all 10 of the canine passengers escaped safely from a burning vehicle early Friday morning, Mar. 3, in the city of Ventura.

Ventura Police and city fire departments responded to a call of a vehicle fire on Thompson Boulevard just east of Chestnut Street.

Officers first on scene located the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Officers reported that the female driver was safely out of the vehicle along with her 10 dogs.

Neither the driver or any of the dogs were injured during the incident.

Fire crews arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
