WELCOME BACK. WHAT WAS MEANT TO BE A CELEBRATION TURNED DEADLY FOR A MAN AT A CENTRAL ALABAMA STATE PARK. IT’S ALREADY, SAY, JEREMY BARTLEY WAS SWIMMING AT OAK MOUNTAIN WHEN HE BEGAN TO DROWN. THIS ALL HAPPENED HOURS BEFORE PELHAM FIRE ON THE WATER CELEBRATION. FIRST RESPONDERS, THEY RUSHED TO RESCUE THE MAN. THEY BEGAN CPR.

A man died at a hospital after an incident at a state park lake in Shelby County.Jeremy Bartalez, 21, was swimming at the Oak Mountain State Park Beach during the afternoon hours of July 3 when he was found struggling in the water, according to the Shelby County coroner.Emergency medical personnel arrived and began efforts to resuscitate him.The coroner stated Bartalez was taken to Shelby Baptist Medical Center, where he later died.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13
SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. —
A man died at a hospital after an incident at a state park lake in Shelby County.
Jeremy Bartalez, 21, was swimming at the Oak Mountain State Park Beach during the afternoon hours of July 3 when he was found struggling in the water, according to the Shelby County coroner.
